Pat Manley.   I am a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation with 10 million miles of navigation, a retired British Airways captain and  qualified as a RYA Yachtmaster Instructor in 1996, having leaned to sail in 1960. I have been teaching RYA Shore-based courses since 1994.  I write technical articles for Practical Boat Owner and am the author of Wiley Maritime’s best selling ‘Simple Boat Maintenance’, Essential Boat Electrics,  Diesels Afloat and Practical Navigation for the Modern Boat Owner.

Lynette Manley.  I am 1-to-1 Navigation’s organiser and caterer and qualified in food hygiene in 1997.  I started ‘big boat’ sailing in 1984.
