I designed this course at the request of Euronav to teach RYA instructors all about seaPro.

 

With the introduction of electronic chart-plotting to the RYA syllabus, there was a need to familiarise instructors with the subject.  I was asked to produce and deliver a course of instruction to RYA instructors.

I believe this to be the most comprehensive seaPro course available.

 

seaPro is an excellent choice for yachtsmen wishing to use their PC aboard their boat.

 

One of the best and most versatile chart-plotting systems for personal computers, it allows pre-trip planning, including best time of departure to make the quickest passage.  When travelling across the tidal stream, seaPro predicts the track covered over the ground, unlike many other systems.  SeaPro also calculates weather routing, using forecast wind conditions, and the racing version gives lots of valuable information to the tactician/navigator.  SeaPro can be coupled to an AIS receiver to show  closest point of approach of commercial vessels and is also compatible with Koden’s PC radar, giving radar overlay and MARPA.
